Keep your connection to soul and spirit vital and alive.
Modern culture seems perfectly designed to distract us from our souls. Attending to our deeper nature is to swim against the stream. We become who and what we surround ourselves with, and so it is vital to have spiritual allies who mirror and support another way of being. For more than 25 years, I have spent the bulk of my days steeping in the life of the spirit. Committed spiritual practice, retreat, pilgrimage and study have become my way of life. And so from wherever I currently am in the world, I offer support and companionship to keep you aligned with what matters most to you.
We are all natural mystics, but this ability to relate to the everyday world as sacred gets obscured by thick layers of conditioning (including religious conditioning). I hold an open, non-judgmental, receptive space that supports you to release yourself from this prison of false concepts and develop a trustworthy connection to your own inner guidance. I also offer resources and encouragement for developing an enlivening personal spiritual practice that integrates transcendent insight with a creative response to everyday life. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof, these sessions will mirror and support your emerging soul, helping you to cultivate more clarity, trust, relaxation, equanimity and playfulness even in challenging times, as the erroneous concepts that sustain your false self drop away.

I draw on my extensive training in Tibetan Buddhism, my training in transpersonal psychotherapy and as an authorized Dharma teacher, my spiritual work with sacred medicines in Peru, and my deep study of both mysticism and Jungian thought (particularly the writings of Marie Louise von Franz). My own practice is grounded in Tibetan Buddhism, psychologically informed and decidedly inter-spiritual, born from my respect for the contribution made by each spiritual tradition in illuminating the mystic heart at the center of them all.
The point of these sessions is to mirror your process as a fellow explorer and share practices, resources and insights that might be of use to your spiritual opening. They are best suited for those who are already committed to taking their spiritual practice seriously and are not meant as a replacement for psychological counseling. These are not therapy sessions but are more akin to the work of a Spiritual Friend or Spiritual Director, as I am primarily a mystic, a contemplative and a committed spiritual practitioner who shares what I’ve learned in my own explorations.
In addition, I offer sessions for those interested in using writing as a tool of awakening, which can be incorporated into our spiritual mentoring sessions. Learn about mentoring for writers.

SCHEDULE A SESSION.
Rates for spiritual mentoring are on a sliding scale.
Please choose an amount that feels both generous and sustainable for you. Those with abundant resources, please be generous and pay at the top of the scale so that I have the means to support others with access to fewer resources. I consider the payments for these sessions a form of Dana, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you can't afford my listed rates.

JUMPSTART: Support to establish a daily spiritual practice.
Weekend solo retreat.
A solo spiritual retreat at a location of your choice supports you in a self-directed process that is tailored to your needs.

Solo retreats minimize distraction and sharpen our ability to distinguish the ego's impulses from the spontaneous movements of the heart and soul. The retreat can be done to establish a new spiritual practice, to deepen the work you've been doing in your daily practice, to open to a deeper level of creativity, or to make headway on a specific issue.
For less than the cost of a group retreat, you will receive individualized attention with the time and space to digest and work with what you are learning. I have done a great deal of solitary retreat, and engaging with this potent process can help you tune into a deeper place of inner knowing and self-trust so that you can open more fully to yourself, to life and to the spiritual journey.
How it works:
• We first meet by phone to clarify your intentions. Out of this, we will create a structure for your retreat time. You decide where you want to stay and make the relevant arrangements. You could book a room at a retreat center or put a cot in a backyard shed, rent an airbnb or pitch a tent by the river. The only requirement is that you be in a safe, quiet place outside of your normal routines where you have access to adequate internet or phone service for us to do our sessions.
• We will schedule a one-hour phone session on each of your two retreat days at a time that will best fit your process. We can meet early in the day to get you started, mid-day to address concerns that came up in your morning practice, or late in the day to look together at how the day went. If you would like more than one session a day, additional sessions can be added at the same cost as my package rates.
The dana includes three sessions: One planning session in advance of the retreat along with clarifying emails and practice materials, and one session on each day of your retreat.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to talk about the possibilities. Email me to set up a time.
